{Cleaning your cast iron cookware}

Keeping that non-stick patina on your cast iron cookware takes a little bit of special care. Follow this advice from The Kitchen Engine and Food Network Kitchens and keep those eggs from sticking!

Instead of using soap to clean the pan, toss some kosher salt into it while the pan is still hot. Scour the surface with a couple of folded paper towels. Rinse the pan in warm water and dry immediately. Your pan will thank you!

The Kitchen Engine, a beautiful gourmet cooking store, is located in Spokane Washington in the historic Flour Mill. Visit their website at www.thekitchenengine.com
